2008 Graduating Diploma of Ceramic Art students by Distance Learning from Christchurch.

Congratulations to Kirsten Mably and Sachiko Hayashi who have worked hard over the last 4 years to gain their Diploma of ceramic Art level 6 by Distance Learning.

These students have achieved there goals and dreams by learning new computer skills, glaze technology, drawing and art history all on line from the Otago Polytechnic. The clay units were from the Claytech Studio in Christchurch.

Kirstens  subject was the Gourd shape, this was altered and textures were added to lidded jars, vases, mugs etc.

Sachikos subject was the tea cup. Mugs with and without handles, handles that looked like cane.

Both students had work that  was fired in electric and gas kilns.

Well done in achieving your Diploma of Ceramic Art.
