Instructions for Getting Your Own FREE Members Page
If you are an NZP member you can have your own page. It's a very easy process.
All you need to do is:
take 6 good photographs of your work.
If you have a digital camera this could do the trick or you could take standard
photographs and scan them. If you do not have a scanner then you could send
me the phographs and I can do it for you.
Good quality photographs are important - remember these will represent what
you do with clay.
You may include amongst your 6 photographs an image of yourself or of your
studio - in fact any pictures which you feel are relevant.
write a statement to go on your page.
This can be about yourself, you career, your pots, your life philosphy -
it is your page!. It could include your CV, exhibitions you have been included
in, prizes you have won etc.
This can be as long as you like. I will format it on the web page for you
and check with you to see that it is as you want it.
Your address and contact details will be displayed from our database of members.
If you do not want these displayed you need to tell me and I can turn that
take a photograph of your mark
If you use an identification
mark on your forms we can now place an image of that mark
on your potters page. We also have a seperate database of potters' marks. If your mark(s) is not yet included in that collection let us know and we can add the mark into the potters' marks database.
Send a photograph of your mark together with the six photographs
of your work.
Sending the photographs and statement to Jim Pollard
Email the statement and the photographs as attachments to
You can use email to send both the statement and the photgraphs to Jim if
you have written your statement on a word processor and if your photographs
are in digital form - i.e. they have been scanned or have been taken with
a digital camera.
Post the statement and the photographs
If you do not have computer facilities then send Jim a printed form of your
statement and photographs and I will process them and send them on to the web manager for placing on your page.

New Zealand Potters (Inc.)
Registered as an incorporated society in 1965 by an enthusiastic group of potters in Wellington, New Zealand, NZ Potters (Inc.) has grown to become a significant international voice in New Zealand ceramics. The affiliation of about three dozen independent pottery clubs throughout New Zealand together with a number of corporate businesses greatly increases its effective membership. We are a national, not-for-profit organisation representing the interests of practising potters and ceramicists, students of ceramics and all those interested in New Zealand ceramics. We actively support and promote quality, and we encourage and support specialist ceramics education nationally.
