Tertiary Students Competition 2015

At regular intervals NZ Potters has organised a competition for students enrolled in ceramics courses recognised by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority.

The competitions have been run on this website. Students are invited to enter three images of a work that they have completed unaided in the course of their studies.

50th Anniversary Tertiary Students Competition 2015

Images of the workwill be displayed online where judges from each on the NZP administrative regions can allocate points. NZP members will also be able to choose which of the contestants should win the Members Choice Award.

This year the following awards are offered:

  • Premier Award of $750
  • four Merit Awards of $250
  • a NZP Members Choice Award of $350

All award winners will also be offered a free Student Membership of NZ Potters for one year.

Judging

One judge has been chosen from each NZP region. Each of these judges will allocate online points between 1 and 10 for each entrant. These points will be totalled to find the Premier Award and the Merit Awards.

In addition each member of NZ Potters may login and choose the student they think should be awarded a Merit.

Winners will be announced on this website on December 16.
