The Story of Clay - for beginners

Aimee McLeodI goes down to see Paul Winspear in Takaka about once a year to help him make clay. She gets to pug it all.

The materials are collected and weighed out

The materials are poured into the heavy duty ex-bakery dough mixer

Then the right amountof water is added to this mixture

The clay is left to mix for a while

The clay is tested for consistency

The clay is dumped on the wedging table ready to pug
